About the role
The Legal Department Executive Assistant supports FIA’s General Counsel and the broader legal team, providing high‑level administrative, scheduling, and research assistance. This role ensures smooth operation of legal projects, board preparations, and internal communications.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for U.S. legal staff.
- Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and final comment letters for the FIA Board of Directors.
- Conduct basic legislative and regulatory research and draft correspondence.
- Maintain legal files, assist with contract management, and track budget expenditures.
- Produce daily Federal Register, press release emails, and other division communications.
- Support webinars, documentation libraries, and special projects across departments.
- Provide backup assistance to the President’s assistant and handle main phone line duties.
Required profile
- College degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and detail‑oriented work ethic.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate with senior executives.
- Interest in financial and regulatory policy.
- Paralegal‑type experience is a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
