Legal Counsel

About the role

HYCU is seeking a Legal Counsel to shape the legal framework of its fast‑growing B2B SaaS business. Reporting to the CFO, you will own the commercial contracting engine and support data‑protection and IP initiatives across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, partner, and vendor agreements, including MSAs, SaaS subscription contracts, order forms, and renewals.
• Manage the end‑to‑end contracting workflow from intake through signature, creating playbooks, approval routing, and continuous improvement processes.
• Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, and RevOps to keep deals moving efficiently while maintaining risk posture on liability, indemnities, warranties, data use, and IP.
• Develop and negotiate Data Processing Agreements, including Standard Contractual Clauses and cross‑border transfer terms.
• Prepare security exhibits, audit rights, incident‑notification clauses, and confidentiality addenda.
• Handle service level agreements, support terms, and partner/reseller/referral agreements.
• Provide strategic legal advice on data‑protection/privacy contracting and intellectual‑property protection.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for SaaS or cloud‑based services.
• Familiarity with data‑protection regulations, cross‑border data transfer mechanisms, and IP strategy.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving environment and collaborate closely with sales and product teams.
