About the role

The Department of Law’s Environment and Natural Resources and Regulated Public Interests sections are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant. You will support attorneys and paralegals in delivering high‑quality legal services to Georgia’s agencies and the public.

Key responsibilities

Manage case files and maintain organized records for multiple attorneys.
Prepare, mail, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in various courts.
Enter and track electronic filings and maintain court calendars and meeting schedules.
Copy, print, and distribute documents while ensuring confidentiality.
Respond to and direct telephone inquiries from citizens, attorneys, and staff.
Utilize department-specific computer programs for document preparation and case management.
Assist the Division’s other administrative assistant to cover workloads as needed.

Required profile

One year of legal secretary experience OR two years of general secretarial experience.
Strong typing skills and ability to handle multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
