Lecturer in Real Estate (Haas School of Business)

About the role

The Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley is accepting applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach Real Estate courses as Lecturers. The pool stays open for one year, with appointments made as teaching needs arise. Initial appointments range from one semester to one year and can be up to 33% time; applicants are considered as openings appear.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Real Estate courses in the classroom.
• Prepare course materials.
• Hold office hours to support students.
• Assign grades and evaluate student work.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree at the time of application.
• By the start of the appointment: at least four years of professional practice in a field relevant to the course.
• Preferred: relevant Real Estate experience in a business, government or not-for-profit organization; a JD, MBA or equivalent international degree; higher education teaching experience and an advanced degree.
• Work authorization in the United States at the time of hire; no visa sponsorship available.

What we offer

• Salary of $73,817 to $207,711 per year, based on the UC academic salary scales (minimum set at appointment).
• Academic appointee status represented by the UC-AFT union.
