Leasing Specialist – Residential Communities

About the role

Sentral is building people‑first communities and needs a Leasing Specialist to drive rapid lease‑ups, reduce vacancy loss, and ensure residents feel loved from first contact through their stay. The role combines front‑line customer service, marketing, and lease administration in a fast‑paced residential environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily leasing activities, including marketing available homes, conducting tours, and processing lease applications.
• Maintain accurate resident and prospect data in the property management software.
• Coordinate move‑ins, welcome new residents, and handle office clerical tasks.
• Prepare lease documents, verify applicant information, and communicate results to prospects.
• Collect rent payments, security deposits, and other fees while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and local regulations.
• Support the marketing team with resident events, newsletters, and promotional activities.
• Perform market analysis, maintain availability lists, and generate leasing activity reports for corporate review.
• Assist maintenance with repair requests and ensure property readiness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• At least one year of customer‑service experience and one year of apartment leasing experience (lease‑up experience a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication, and solid time‑management skills.
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and work flexible evenings and weekends.
• Computer literate with proficiency in email and Microsoft Office tools.
