Leasing Professional – Property Leasing Role

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue and resident retention for a 131‑unit lease‑up community in La Quinta, CA. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospecting and tours to lease signing and renewals, while ensuring a high‑quality resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, and complete credit and background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages and coordinate unit inspections before resident occupancy.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including internet advertising, resident referral programs and employer outreach.
• Maintain accurate data in property management software (OneSite, Yardi) and track leasing activity and demographic information.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, phone or mail to secure lease signings and renewals.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner inquiries, addressing issues or routing them to the appropriate team.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of leasing experience, preferably in a lease‑up environment.
• Customer‑service orientation with strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
