Leasing Professional (Part-Time) – Urbana

About the role

The Leasing Professional supports the community’s marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to meet occupancy, revenue and resident‑retention goals. This part‑time position works directly with prospective and current residents, ensuring a smooth leasing experience from inquiry through move‑in and lease renewal.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, show apartments and process applications, including credit and background checks.
• Prepare lease documents, move‑in packages and coordinate resident move‑ins, ensuring apartments are ready and any maintenance issues are addressed.
• Monitor market and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to multitask in a fast‑paced leasing environment.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work a rotating weekend schedule.

Required skills

• Experience with OneSite property management software.
• Experience with Yardi property management software.
• Familiarity with online marketing tools such as Craigslist.
• Familiarity with online marketing tools such as Facebook.
