Leasing Professional – NOVEL Blandtown

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies for a mid‑rise community to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals. This full‑time onsite position involves guiding prospects through the leasing process and ensuring resident satisfaction throughout their lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure they are ready, and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Use property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage resident data.
• Maintain show units and marketing corridors to company standards, coordinating with maintenance as needed.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to secure leases and renewals.
• Prepare renewal letters, meet with renewing residents, and ensure timely signing of renewal documents.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns, taking action or routing requests appropriately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work rotating weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency in online marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
