About the role
This position coordinates the community’s marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to meet occupancy, revenue and resident‑retention goals. The Leasing Professional handles all activities related to leasing new residents, maintaining satisfaction throughout the lease term, and securing lease renewals.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
- Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure they are ready, and coordinate any needed maintenance.
- Monitor market conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials to boost occupancy.
- Execute marketing activities such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
- Use property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity and manage resident data.
- Follow‑up with prospects and residents via email, phone or cards to ensure satisfaction and timely lease renewals.
Required profile
- All state and local licensing requirements must be met, including a valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb (50 lb with assistance) in all weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays, with occasional travel to assist other properties.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to respond promptly to resident and owner concerns.
Required skills
- Proficiency with property‑management software such as OneSite and Yardi.
- Experience using internet marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook and email campaigns.
- Ability to manage resident and prospect data within a CRM system.
