Leasing Professional – Edison

About the role

The Leasing Professional will lead the community’s marketing, leasing and renewal efforts to meet occupancy, revenue and resident‑retention targets. You will guide prospects through tours, applications and move‑in, while ensuring a high‑quality resident experience throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales and leasing activities: greet and qualify prospects, give community tours, show apartments, process applications, perform credit and background checks, prepare lease packages and coordinate smooth move‑ins.
• Inspect apartments before resident move‑in, verify readiness and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing via Craigslist, Facebook and email.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show‑unit standards by daily inspections and ensuring presentation quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential leasing or property management.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to engage and qualify prospects.
• Knowledge of local rental market dynamics and competitive positioning.
• Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies that drive traffic and conversions.
