Leasing Professional – Avana Gilbert Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for the Avana Gilbert community. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while ensuring a high‑quality resident experience throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and showcase apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues, and ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and implement concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage prospect and resident data.
• Maintain show‑unit standards through daily inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Excellent communication and sales skills to convert prospects into residents.
• Detail‑oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple leasing tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stay informed about local market conditions and adapt strategies accordingly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite and Yardi.
• Experience using internet marketing tools, including Craigslist and Facebook.
