Leasing Professional – Avana Belmar Community

About the role

We are seeking a Leasing Professional to join the Avana Belmar community in Lakewood. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue and resident satisfaction through effective marketing, leasing and renewal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities: greet prospects, qualify, conduct tours, process applications, credit and background checks, prepare lease and move‑in packages, and ensure a smooth move‑in experience.
• Inspect apartments before resident move‑in, coordinate with the maintenance team to address any outstanding items.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and special programs to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing via Craigslist, Facebook, email, and other platforms.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track apartment availability, record traffic and leasing activities, manage resident and prospect data, and capture demographic information.
• Ensure show units meet company standards through daily inspections and coordination with maintenance.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage prospective residents.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple leasing tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of the local rental market and competitive landscape.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance and management teams.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency in internet marketing tools (Craigslist, Facebook, email platforms).
