Lead Site Mechanic - Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

Amentum is recruiting a Lead Site Mechanic for a government aircraft maintenance program. As Site Lead Mechanic you will lead the effort for operating and maintaining the aircraft, aircraft subsystems and support equipment. The opportunity is contingent on award.

Key responsibilities

• Lead aircraft maintenance, including launch and recovery of the aircraft
• Oversee supply of contractor-owned spares and support equipment through a Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP) program
• Supervise repair and overhaul of repairable spares at FAA-certified repair stations
• Manage maintenance and repair of support equipment and aircraft paint
• Handle engine repair and overhaul

Required profile

• 5 or more years of aircraft maintenance experience
• 3 or more years maintaining King Air/1900 airliner series aircraft, including complex modifications
• At least one year as a site lead under a similar effort
• Current FAA A&P license
• Ability to direct a workforce in aircraft maintenance, repair and modification
• Ability to act as on-site liaison with the Government
• US citizenship, as it is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• High school diploma or GED minimum
