Lead Business Consultant

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Lead Business Consultant, positioned at the intersection of technology delivery and business operations. The role drives alignment across enterprise leaders with divisional strategy, leads IT divisional efforts to plan and execute IT strategies, and acts as a functional business liaison for key IT initiatives. It is a hybrid position based in Chicago, Illinois or Richardson, Texas, with no relocation offered and no sponsorship available.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and implement processes to optimize IT work and define metrics to measure divisional success
• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day activities of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, contingency execution, vendor relationship management and business partner engagement
• Ensure integration between partner teams and act as a liaison for IT initiatives based on division needs
• Interact with senior and executive leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience, or 11 years in project management, business analysis, process improvement, strategic planning, product administration or other healthcare functions
• Experience communicating with and presenting to senior management and executives
• Experience managing and delegating across complex projects in a matrixed environment
• Experience leading, coaching and mentoring teams and junior resources
• Preferred: health insurance or healthcare industry experience, structured recommendations and business case development, and interest in product strategy, business transformation and AI-enabled operating models

Required skills

• Strategic planning techniques and interpretation of business and financial information
• PC proficiency including MS Office
• Negotiation, analytical, problem resolution and detail-oriented skills

What we offer

• Base pay range of $92,700 to $167,500, varying with skills, experience and location
