Law Librarian – Part-time (On-site, Boston)

About the role

Accufile is looking for an experienced Law Librarian to join its Boston team on a permanent, part‑time basis. The role supports multiple law firms in the area, providing high‑quality legal research and library services directly on site.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑depth legal and business research using print resources, Lexis, Westlaw, VitalLaw and emerging technologies.
• Manage library operations: process vendor invoices, handle interlibrary loans, check‑in materials in firm ILS, and maintain the library intranet page.
• Provide outreach, training, and orientation programs for attorneys and staff.
• Oversee vendor contracts, monitor the annual library budget, prepare reports, and manage acquisitions.
• Implement and maintain news, litigation, and client alerts to support business development.
• Maintain library memberships, passwords, and perform other assigned duties.

Required profile

• MLS or MLIS degree from an ALA‑accredited institution.
• 3–5 years of law‑library experience (preferred).
• Strong service orientation with a focus on attorney productivity.
• Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
