Laboratory Technician – Gas & Hydrocarbon Testing

About the role

Assist in various areas of laboratory operation for gas and hydrocarbon liquids testing, ensuring compliance with business needs and the Company’s Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Receive samples, log pertinent information into the LIMS system, and report analytical results to customers.
• Perform analytical testing (GC, RVP, molecular weight, density, distillation) following GPA and ASTM standardized methodologies.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and ensure safety practices are followed.
• Handle cylinder cleaning, preparation for shipping, and general laboratory housekeeping.

Required profile

• College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Physical or Life Science.
• Minimum two years of laboratory experience, preferably with GC instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and technical reports.
• Strong mathematical skills for calculations, ratios, and interpreting scientific data.

Required skills

• Gas Chromatography (GC) operation.
• LIMS data entry and management.
• Knowledge of GPA and ASTM testing standards.
• Experience with cylinder cleaning and equipment maintenance.
