Labor Conciliator – Fair Labor Standards (Spanish‑speaking)

About the role

The Labor Conciliator supports the Department of Labor’s mission to enforce fair labor standards by helping citizens recover unpaid wages. This position focuses on cases involving Spanish‑speaking employers, employees, or witnesses.

Key responsibilities

• Assist individuals in filing and pursuing claims for unpaid wages under state labor laws.
• Investigate and document cases where Spanish is the primary language of parties involved.
• Coordinate with other department staff to ensure timely resolution of disputes.
• Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports for supervisory review.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Eligibility to work full‑time in the United States.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, Monday‑Friday, with optional hybrid work (4‑5 days onsite).
• Union membership acceptable; collective bargaining agreement applies.

Required skills

• Spanish language proficiency (spoken and written).
