About the role
The Labor Conciliator supports Illinois citizens in recovering unpaid wages and ensures compliance with state labor laws. This full‑time, union‑protected position is based in Chicago with a flexible hybrid schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Assist individuals in filing claims and recovering unpaid wages under the Department’s labor statutes.
- Interpret and apply Fair Labor Standards regulations to resolve disputes and provide guidance to the public.
Required profile
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
- Willingness to work on‑site 4‑5 days per week, with a flexible schedule as needed.
