Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Kitchen Assistant supports the daily operations of the Big Rock Bistro at the North Little Rock campus. Working under the direct supervision of the Sous Chef‑Bistro Manager, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and front‑of‑house environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized front‑of‑house area, including food service stations, trash receptacles, and workstations.
• Operate and maintain the dishwashing station and dish machine; ensure hand‑washing sinks are cleaned, stocked, and functional.
• Stock and replenish service items such as beverages, cups, condiments, and utensils to ensure consistent availability.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food production and preparation duties as needed.
• Follow all hygiene and safety standards to support a safe working environment.
