Junior Software Engineer

About the role

BlueCargo is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to help build and evolve its container visibility and freight audit platform. You will join a fast‑growing, VC‑backed team that is modernising global trade through data‑driven logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise functions and algorithms that power the core audit product.
• Translate product requirements and technical designs into clean, low‑defect code.
• Scale and refactor the existing Django application toward a data‑platform architecture.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable delivery of new features.
• Gradually become an expert in freight industry concepts and data.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional Python development experience, preferably with Django.
• 1 year of experience in production‑grade database modeling.
• Familiarity with a major cloud provider, ideally AWS.
• High attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem‑solving drive.
