Junior Product Owner – FinTech Core Banking

About the role

We are seeking a curious and detail‑oriented Junior Product Owner to join our fintech team. You will help shape and deliver a next‑generation core banking migration product for credit unions across the United States, working closely with engineers, QA and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap for core‑banking modules.
• Learn, document and translate banking workflows (reconciliation, posting, reversals, card processing) into clear user stories.
• Participate daily in stand‑ups, sprint planning and backlog refinement with developers, QA and the Scrum Master.
• Collaborate with experienced team members to understand functional requirements during migration.
• Assist in rollout readiness across development, QA, beta and production environments.
• Identify gaps and edge cases in financial transaction flows and raise decisions when needed.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate documentation, analysis and requirement drafting.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in financial products, banking operations, fintech or business analysis.
• Basic understanding of banking concepts such as transactions, accounts or payments.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and participation in sprints.
• Minimum B2 English proficiency for written communication and video calls with a U.S. team.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Educational background in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Systems Engineering or a related field.
