Junior Information Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Information Security Analyst to support our security program. You will work under senior analysts to implement and maintain controls that meet federal standards and help protect our systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in applying security controls aligned with FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53 Moderate baselines.
• Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, including documentation updates and evidence collection.
• Run routine vulnerability scans and configuration compliance checks under supervision.
• Monitor system and security logs, identify anomalies, and escalate findings.
• Help maintain audit‑ready documentation, such as compliance reports and assessment evidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or Associate degree plus 2 years experience).
• CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent) certification.
• 1–3 years of experience in information security, cyber risk management, network defense, or security‑focused IT administration.
