Java Backend Developer – Tampa, FL

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join its Communications, Media, and Technology unit in Tampa, Florida. You will work as a Technology Consultant, contributing to digital transformation projects for clients in the telecom, media and technology sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements as part of the elicitation process.
• Participate in software design discussions and capture design decisions.
• Develop, test, and integrate new features into existing Java applications.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain code repositories, and ensure code quality.
• Implement test strategies, analyse results and coordinate bug‑fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• Capability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
