About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join its Financial Services unit. You will work on innovative AI‑driven solutions for banking, wealth management and insurance, helping clients accelerate growth and improve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and workshops to capture user needs and document stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in design discussions, create process documentation and translate specifications into code.
• Develop, refine and document Java applications following detailed design specifications.
• Execute test plans, analyse results, report defects and support software performance improvements.
• Integrate new features into existing systems and ensure smooth transitions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues in live applications, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Document coding practices, testing methodologies and technical solutions for team knowledge sharing.
