Java Backend Developer – Dallas, TX

About the role

The Infosys Engineering unit is looking for a Java Backend Developer to join its Dallas, TX team. You will work on designing, building, and maintaining backend services using Java and Spring Boot, supporting data‑first engineering initiatives and delivering intelligent insights for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Document and contribute to business requirements during elicitation.
• Facilitate software design discussions and capture design decisions.
• Develop new features and integrate updates into existing Java applications while ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories, and apply changes to the codebase.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to maintain quality standards.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth application transitions.
• Participate in production issue resolution and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for knowledge sharing.
