Java AWS Software Engineer III

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer III to join the Asset & Wealth Management – AM Tech Marketing team. You will work in an agile environment to design, develop, and deliver secure, high‑quality technology products that support the firm’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot applications deployed on AWS.
• Produce secure, production‑ready code and maintain synchronous algorithms across systems.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, unit‑test creation, and documentation, ensuring outputs meet security and performance standards.
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while adhering to design constraints.
• Analyze large data sets to generate visualizations and reports that drive continuous improvement of software and system architecture.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system design.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience working in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying.
• Proven ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI‑generated code outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
