Java AI Architect – Richardson, TX

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java AI Architect to join its Retail, Consumer Goods and Logistics unit in Richardson, Texas. The role focuses on designing and delivering AI‑enabled solutions using Java, generative and conversational AI technologies, and cloud platforms. You will work closely with customers and development teams to create scalable, secure architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in customer discussions to gather and analyze system requirements for performance, security and scalability.
• Provide solution architecture suggestions, contribute to technology framework development and enterprise architecture definition.
• Identify and evaluate market technologies and tools to recommend optimal architectural solutions.
• Develop integration strategies and validate proof‑of‑concepts for proposed architectures.
• Ensure knowledge transfer, quality standards, and support build and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues during build, deployment and support phases.
• Analyze system performance of implemented architectures and identify potential risks.
• Create architectural artifacts and technical documentation to enrich the team’s knowledge repository.

Required profile

• Ability to analyse, design and develop scalable and secure architectures.
• Strong aptitude for assessing multiple technologies, tools and frameworks to recommend optimal solutions.
• Experience in guiding teams through architectural decisions and knowledge sharing.
