IT/OT CyberSecurity Intern

About the role

Join Oceaneering’s IT Cybersecurity team for a paid summer internship (early June to early August) focused on OT Cybersecurity. You will help protect the organization from cyber‑attacks by monitoring systems, reviewing configurations, and evaluating emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor computer networks for security issues and investigate events.
• Document security configurations, events, and assess associated risks.
• Work with the OT Cybersecurity team to perform tests, uncover vulnerabilities and request adjustments.
• Stay current on IT and OT security trends and assist in developing company‑wide best practices.
• Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and help colleagues review security software.

Required profile

• 3rd or 4th‑year undergraduate student pursuing a Cybersecurity‑related degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Interest in a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role.
• Experience with information security, network penetration testing, firewalls, SIEM, antivirus and IDPS concepts.
