IT Support Technician

About the role

The IT Support Technician will join the Information Technology Department of Discovery Land Company at a project location in Maui. The role provides technical assistance to internal staff, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, servers, networks, and software applications across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktop computers, applications, server systems, and related technology.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain computer systems and peripherals according to standards.
• Diagnose and resolve unique, non‑recurring software and hardware issues.
• Assist the IT Director and take on progressive responsibilities for the company’s IT infrastructure.
• Support both local and remote users via phone and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Work with vendors to resolve hardware, software, and networking problems.
• Train staff on the use of hardware and software tools.
• Manage ordering, fulfillment, and inventory of desktop and server components for headquarters and project sites.
• Maintain project scope documentation, risk mitigation plans, and internal communications.
• Develop and maintain an issues‑management database for each project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
