IT Support Technician I

About the role

Pennian Bank is seeking an IT Support Technician I to be the first point of contact for employee technical needs at its Mifflintown office. You will ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, and communication systems, providing both onsite and remote assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for IT support requests, diagnosing issues and escalating when necessary.
• Provide technical assistance for hardware, software, voice, and data communication systems.
• Troubleshoot workstation issues remotely and onsite, including travel to branch locations.
• Guide users through solutions with clear, step‑by‑step instructions.
• Assist employees with software applications and system usage.
• Document issues, resolutions, and activities in help‑desk tools and logs.
• Support deployment of new equipment, including workstation setup, phones, and training materials.
• Maintain and update the company intranet as directed.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong technical proficiency with applications and software used in a banking environment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, accessories, and minor repairs.
• Understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and related technology products.
• Proficiency in hardware setup, network cabling, software installation, and upgrades.
• Excellent reading, writing, grammar, and math skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Awareness of regulatory compliance requirements for IT and banking operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and willingness to travel to branch locations.
