IT Support Specialist – Job Challenge at Ft. Stewart

About the role

The IT Support Specialist will provide end‑user and infrastructure support for the Job Challenge Academy at Fort Stewart, GA. You will serve both the Job Challenge and Youth Challenge campuses, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, and network services.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues on network‑connected computers and servers.
• Assist staff with a variety of IT problems, including application‑specific issues.
• Track, prioritize, and document requests using the IT support request system.
• Install and configure new computers, servers, switches, access points, and VOIP phone systems.
• Repair and upgrade computers, printers, and scanners.
• Maintain inventory of IT supplies and equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on servers, switches, printers, and other connected devices.
• Research new software solutions and provide recommendations to the director.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with relevant technical support training and experience.
• A+ and Network+ certifications.
• Knowledge of Office 365, Windows Server, and Hyper‑V.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems systematically.
• Successful completion of background checks and drug testing.
