About the role
As an IT Analyst at 3M you will provide both hardware and software support to a manufacturing site, ensuring technology runs smoothly for daily operations. You will work on‑site with a global team of curious and creative colleagues, handling a wide range of IT assets and services.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver standard and local hardware support for workstations, laptops, tablets, Zebra and HP printers, servers, VMware, terminal servers and networking equipment.
- Provide software support for VMware, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suites, Lotus Notes databases and McAfee security tools.
- Maintain site dashboards tracking computers, printers, servers, networking gear, IT tickets and vulnerability status.
- Administer Active Directory for file shares and SQL DBA tasks including backup, migration and recovery.
- Respond to after‑hours support calls to maximize uptime of site‑related resources.
- Support up to 15% domestic or international travel as needed.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with at least five years of IT experience in a manufacturing, private, public, government or military environment, OR a high school diploma/GED with at least eight years of comparable experience.
- Experience integrating process‑control equipment in a lab or manufacturing setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, written and teamwork skills.
Required skills

- Networking: Cisco switches, firewalls, related security protocols.

- HP server hardware.
