Investment Banking Analyst

About the role

The Investment Banking Analyst will join Northern Edge Advisors in New York to support transaction execution for clients selling and transitioning businesses. This full‑time, on‑site position involves building detailed financial models, performing valuation analyses, and conducting comprehensive company and industry research.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models in Excel.
• Prepare valuation analyses and market data assessments.
• Conduct company, industry, and competitor research.
• Assist with due diligence, reviewing financial, legal, and operational information.
• Create client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials.
• Analyze financial statements and market trends.
• Collaborate with senior bankers on deal strategy, buyer evaluation, and transaction structuring.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in finance and investment banking concepts, including valuation methods.
• Advanced financial modeling ability.
• Robust analytical skills for interpreting financial statements and market data.
• Experience or training in due diligence processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases or research tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
