Investigator - Medicaid Fraud

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Attorney General Office is seeking a dedicated Investigator to join the Medicaid Fraud Division. You will support civil investigations into health‑care fraud and patient abuse, working closely with analysts, auditors and prosecutors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site health‑care fraud investigations and assist with patient‑abuse cases.
• Review documentation, interview witnesses, and gather intelligence for investigations.
• Participate in planning, execution of search warrants, and seizure of evidence.
• Maintain chain‑of‑custody procedures and prepare charts, schedules, and presentations for prosecution.
• Develop proficiency with computer software used in investigations.
• Respond promptly to assignment requests and provide investigative support as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and handle evidence responsibly.
• Willingness to be issued firearms or less‑lethal equipment as required.
• Knowledge of current trends in health‑care fraud and patient‑abuse investigations.
• Strong analytical and interview skills.
