Interventional Cardiologist – Sign‑On Bonus Available

About the role

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is seeking a board‑eligible or board‑certified Interventional Cardiologist to join a busy, collaborative practice. The team includes three interventional cardiologists, two non‑invasive cardiologists, and four advanced practice providers, serving a large regional patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide interventional procedures including advanced heart failure therapies, TAVR, vascular surgery support, and electrophysiology assistance.
• Participate in rotating call schedules: general call every fifth night and interventional backup every third night, with weekend rounding and cath‑lab coverage.
• Rotate among three clinic locations and cover one hospital, ensuring continuity of care.
• Utilize the diagnostic department for EKGs, Holter monitoring, stress tests (including nuclear), cardiac and vascular ultrasound, and manage the arrhythmia/device clinic and cardiac rehab programs.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Interventional Cardiology.
• Willingness to work rotating call schedules and collaborate within a multispecialty team.
• Eligibility for J‑1 visa applications is accepted.

Required skills

• Interventional cardiology procedures (TAVR, vascular surgery, electrophysiology support).
• Advanced heart failure management.
• Diagnostic testing: EKG, Holter, stress testing, cardiac and vascular ultrasound.
• Use of Epic electronic medical record system.
