International Tax Manager

About the role

The Global Tax Manager will play a critical role in Tilray’s international tax compliance and planning activities, supporting the company’s worldwide operations across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Canadian income tax returns and ensure timely filing.
• Manage the preparation of income tax returns for global entities through external consultants.
• Collaborate with external advisors to optimize transfer pricing methods and documentation.
• Handle tax controversies and audits.
• Prepare and review international tax provisions in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor changes in international tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
• Provide tax advice and support to cross‑functional teams for business initiatives.
• Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize the global tax position.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in international tax, preferably within a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with transfer pricing and tax controversy management.
• Ability to research, read, and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
