About the role
The International Criminal Justice Initiative at Georgetown University Law Center seeks an entry‑level legal professional to join its Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group (ACA) project supporting Ukraine. This full‑time fellowship focuses on research, coordination, and communication to advance accountability for atrocity crimes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal and policy research on international criminal law and international humanitarian law.
- Draft research memos, reports, blog posts, and other external communications.
- Organize study visits, conferences, and speaker events for Ukrainian stakeholders and external partners.
- Assist with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities.
- Supervise and mentor student research assistants, assigning tasks and reviewing their work.
- Support day‑to‑day operational and administrative functions of the ACA project.
Required profile
- Demonstrated interest in international criminal law and humanitarian law.
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate events and manage logistics.
- Experience supervising junior staff or peers is a plus.
