About the role

The Department of Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care to veterans at the Tyler Centennial VA Clinic. This full‑time position offers a consistent Monday‑Friday schedule with no night or weekend shifts, allowing for excellent work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct outpatient care, managing both chronic and acute/same‑day medical needs.
• Utilize the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model to coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Employ telehealth and electronic medical records (EMR) tools to enhance patient outcomes.
• Emphasize preventive medicine and health education for the veteran population.

Required profile

• Current, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty within four years of training.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to maintain all required certifications and provide documentation annually.
