About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport seek an Internal Medicine physician for an academic or community full‑time position. The role combines patient care, teaching, and potential research under the direction of the Chair, Department of Medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality treatment and diagnostic services to primary‑care patients.
• Join and contribute to an expanding primary‑care team under departmental leadership.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows as an Assistant or Associate Professor.
• Participate in academic activities, including potential research and departmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Eligibility for active Louisiana medical licensure.
• Graduating medicine residents are welcome to apply.
• Interest in academic or community primary‑care practice.
