About the role

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine seeks a board‑certified/board‑eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join the Rusk Rural Health Clinic team. The position is a faculty appointment with clinical duties at the UT Health Jacksonville campus and its surrounding community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care to an average of 18‑22 patients per day, four days a week.
• Participate in on‑site lab and X‑ray services and manage clinic call responsibilities.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in a university‑affiliated environment.
• Utilize Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to streamline documentation and coding.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Willingness to work in a rural health setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to academic teaching and mentorship.
