Intern – Programme Management (Data Analytics & Process Innovation)

About the role

This internship supports the United Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies (UNODET) in delivering its mandate on digital cooperation and emerging technologies. Working under the Associate Programme Management Officer, you will gain hands‑on experience in programme management, data analytics, and process innovation within a high‑impact multilateral environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in programme planning, tracking deliverables, and preparing presentations, reports, and briefing materials.
• Support business process mapping, workflow improvement initiatives, and the design of automation solutions using digital and AI‑enabled tools.
• Conduct basic data analysis, create dashboards and visualisations, and produce reports using Excel and related tools.
• Help coordinate meetings, workshops, and events, including support for Digital Cooperation Day and other office initiatives.
• Contribute to research and knowledge‑management activities, analysing reports and speeches.
• Perform other duties as required by the team.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a graduate programme, or in the final academic year of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Strong interest in digital technologies, data analytics, and international policy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Basic data analysis and visualisation skills.
• Experience creating dashboards and reports.
• Familiarity with business process mapping and workflow improvement.
• Exposure to automation tools and AI‑enabled technologies.
