Insurance Coverage Attorney (Hybrid – Woodland Hills)

About the role

Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its Woodland Hills office. The position is hybrid, allowing a mix of office and remote work, and focuses on representing insurers in complex coverage litigation and arbitration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy for insurance coverage disputes and lead coverage litigation and arbitration matters.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research, draft memoranda, position letters, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Analyze insurance policies, provide coverage advice, and draft recommendations for clients.
• Supervise and participate in mediations, settlements, depositions, document reviews, and client interactions.

Required profile

• Admission to the California Bar (or pending admission) with excellent academic credentials.
• Solid work history in insurance coverage or related litigation.
• Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and interact confidently with clients.
