About the role

Tarleton State University seeks a dedicated Instructor of Mathematics to join its Department of Mathematics on the main campus in Stephenville, Texas. This 9‑month, non‑tenure‑track position focuses on delivering high‑quality undergraduate instruction and supporting the department’s academic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses, both on‑site and through approved online modalities.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and student advising.
• Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act.
• Contribute to departmental service activities as needed.

Required profile

• Earned graduate degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate mathematics effectively.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student success.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without university‑sponsored visa.
