Instructional Designer/Digital Liaison

About the role

The Instructional Designer/Digital Liaison leads the design and development of classroom, hybrid, and online courses for the Department of Landscape Architecture & Urban Planning at Texas A&M University. The role also provides training and support to faculty and staff on instructional design best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee course design projects, including online modules and blended formats.
• Collaborate with instructors, subject‑matter experts, and multimedia teams to develop course materials.
• Administer and maintain online development resources and Learning Management System content.
• Provide training, presentations, and recommendations on instructional strategies and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and at least two years of instructional design experience.
• Strong knowledge of online course design principles, LMS platforms, and instructional technologies.
• Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and present information clearly.

Required skills

• Word processing and spreadsheet applications.

• Artificial intelligence, large language models, and accessibility considerations.
• Media production, systems infrastructure, and software development basics.
