Instructional Designer

About the role

The Instructional Designer supports faculty and students in delivering curricular content for the MD program at Saint Louis University. This role advises on instructional and assessment methods, collaborates on education research, and works with IT services to implement technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver instructional programs, products, and strategies for curriculum development and evaluation.
• Consult with faculty on effective use of electronic, web‑based, multimedia, and AI‑driven instructional tools.
• Plan, develop, and lead workshops and training sessions for faculty and staff.
• Create and maintain documentation on pedagogy, course design, and teaching technologies.
• Partner with ITS to design, develop, and deploy new education technology for medical education.
• Promote best practices in content delivery, evaluation, and assessment; support scholarly projects and medical education research.
• Serve as an education advisor on multiple committees, providing data, resources, and report contributions.
• Design, test, and use university resources to deliver MD program assessments and instructional materials.

Required profile

• Experience supporting faculty and students in curricular content delivery.
• Proven ability to collaborate with faculty, curricular committees, and IT services.
• Background in education research and scholarly project support.
• Strong advisory skills for committee work and curriculum improvement.
