Inspection Technician

About the role

You will support highly complex quality‑control tasks in a regulated medical‑device manufacturing environment, performing precise measurements and ensuring compliance with specifications while working with limited supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Measure parts, fixtures, tooling, assemblies and finished medical devices using appropriate tools and fixtures according to approved procedures.
• Execute quality inspection tasks in SAP/MES to maintain accurate inventory control.
• Document test data and observations, retain paperwork and electronic records, and prepare inspection reports following Good Documentation Practices.
• Provide input for continuous improvement of inspection procedures, specifications and processes.
• Participate in internal, ISO 13485 and other audits/inspections.
• Initiate non‑conformance reports on defective material and support investigations with Operations and Supplier Quality.
• Assist in qualification/validation activities and implement corrective measures.

Required profile

• Experience in quality inspection within a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace).
• Proficiency with simple measurement and calibration tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.

Required skills

• Micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement tools.
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation (preferred).
• SAP and Windchill usage.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Metrology, materials knowledge, calibration techniques.
