Inpatient Physical Therapist – Part Time

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time inpatient Physical Therapist to join Ochsner University Hospital and Clinics Rehab Services in Lafayette, Louisiana. The therapist will evaluate patients, develop and deliver treatment programs based on physician orders, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient‑specific goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and create individualized inpatient physical therapy treatment plans.
• Deliver therapy sessions, monitor patient response, and adjust plans to improve outcomes and ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards and hospital policies.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members to coordinate discharge planning and post‑acute care referrals.
• Travel between Ochsner facilities as needed to provide coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current state physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• No prior experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
