Information Security & Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Information Security & Compliance Analyst supports Barnhart's cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives. The role ensures security controls align with business, customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage information security governance and compliance activities, supporting cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory frameworks.
• Develop and maintain security and privacy documentation, including policies, standards, procedures, risk registers, and compliance evidence repositories.
• Conduct risk assessments and control reviews to identify gaps and validate the effectiveness of administrative, technical, and operational controls.
• Support audit, compliance, and security readiness activities by coordinating internal and external audits, collecting evidence, and tracking remediation actions.
• Administer data privacy and information governance programs, including data classification, handling, retention, and privacy assessments.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity compliance, or risk management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, customers, and auditors.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent certifications with at least two years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-171, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Controls, and CMMC.
• Experience conducting tabletop exercises, risk assessments, control reviews, audits, incident management, and remediation tracking.
• Ability to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, standards, and compliance documentation.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CISA, CRISC, CGRC, CISSP) are a plus.
