Industrial Services Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Industrial Services Specialist to help manufacturers across New England create safer, more efficient production environments. You will support the full lifecycle of machine safety projects, from risk assessments to the design, installation, and integration of custom guarding solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive machine risk assessments and develop corrective action plans aligned with OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Design and fabricate custom machine guards, barriers, and safety enclosures using CAD software and materials such as polycarbonate, sheet metal, and wire mesh.
• Install, fit‑up, and modify guarding solutions on‑site, ensuring functional and regulatory compliance.
• Integrate safety devices—including light curtains, safety interlocks, emergency‑stop systems, and pressure‑sensitive mats—into existing control systems.
• Develop and implement equipment‑specific Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and Electrical Safe Work Practices.
• Support clients in achieving regulatory compliance and improving overall operational safety.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in manufacturing environments dealing with machine safety projects.
• Ability to balance design work, field implementation, and client collaboration.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• CAD software for guard design.
• Knowledge of Light curtains, Safety interlocks, Emergency stop systems, Pressure‑sensitive mats.
• Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Understanding of Electrical Safe Work Practices.
