Industrial Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Industrial Manager to lead a multi‑functional team in the production of large composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB. You will work on the shop floor alongside experts in electrical, structural and quality disciplines, driving the delivery of high‑quality aircraft components.

Key responsibilities

• Interact and influence the Operations & Multi‑Functional team in a composite manufacturing and assembly environment.
• Monitor and analyze the entire industrial flow, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and quality standards.
• Lead continuous improvement of routines and standards using the Airbus Operating System and data‑driven analysis.
• Identify root causes of non‑quality, eliminate human‑factor defects, and reinforce a quality culture.
• Drive productivity by managing delivery, quality gates, bottlenecks, and resource forecasting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8 + years of experience in industrial engineering or a similar role within aviation manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of production and quality rules in the aviation industry.
• Proficiency in Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language (French, German, Spanish) is a plus.
